FAQs
DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS?
We have the answers.
What experience do I need to own a med spa with MD Esthetics?
If you are a properly licensed medical professional, nurse practitioner, or sophisticated investor who is partnered with either, then you may be the right fit to become our next MD Esthetics franchise owner. We are looking for financially qualified, established businesspeople and esthetics professionals who are excited to take their career to the next level. If you can see yourself following our exclusive systems to open and operate an exceptional med spa with confidence, let’s connect to go over the details.
What is provided as part of the MD Esthetics franchise program?
We will invite you and your team to our med spa headquarters for initial business and techniques training. Our headquarters-based training will include ten days in person, for clinical staff, and five days for administrative staff. In conjunction with your commencing business operations, our representatives will spend up to two days assisting you and your staff at your spa location. You and your team also have the benefit of access to our proprietary MD Esthetics Academy hybrid online curriculum so that everyone works confidently from day one. From there, you will have access to in-house administrative support so you can spend more time growing your business. We will always be available via phone and email when you need us, and you will have exclusive access to our confidential operations manual from the moment you are selected to own a med spa with MD Esthetics.
How much will the franchise cost me?
The estimated initial investment necessary to begin operations ranges from $278,229 to $737,080. This includes a $50,000 initial franchise fee for a single territory agreement. The first ten franchise owners to join the system will be charged only $40,000 for their first med spa location. As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund the initial business growth stages.
Is financing available?
We do not provide direct financing to franchise owners, but we may refer financing sources on a case-by-case basis.
Are there ongoing fees to pay?
We collect a 7% royalty fee on non-medical services and products, as well as from the management fee for medical services. Some states may require a flat fee to be paid instead of a percentage. A technology fee of up to $500 per month may be expected for website presence, access to approved/customized software platforms, and other technology tools. Fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of techniques and procedures, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades. For a full list of fees and requirements, please refer to our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).
Are there any advertising fees?
Franchise owners will be required to spend 2% of gross revenues or $2,500 per month (whichever is greater) on local marketing and promotions in their territory after an initial promotional period ends, with a required expenditure of $15,000. Franchise owners will also contribute up to 2% of gross revenues on an ongoing basis into the brand marketing fund. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the MD Esthetics brand and cover the creative costs to develop brand marketing materials and campaigns. For a full list of fees and requirements, please refer to our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).
What is the term of the agreement?
The initial term of your agreement is ten years, with one successor agreement option of ten years.
